Your Heavenly Father is interested in hearing from you and communicating with you, just like your earthly parents are.
He hears your prayers. He then responds to your prayers through thoughts, spiritual feelings, scripture, or even other people’s deeds.
Prayer also keeps us connected to God. He can act in us and through us when we pray because we are allowing Him access to our hearts.
We can strengthen our relationship with God by praying. We get to know someone better the more time and conversation we spend with them.
Remember, Even Jesus Christ do prayed often.
How come Jesus prayed? He prayed, among other things, to set an example for us to follow. The prayers of Christ are frequently mentioned in the Scriptures, with the following examples:
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. (Matthew 14:23 KJV)
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. (Matthew 26:36 KJV)
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. (Mark 1:35 KJV)
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed (Luke 5:16 KJV)
How come we pray? Here are a few primary reasons why we should pray;
You Can Build a Relationship With God Through Prayer
We can form a friendship with God in the same way that we would develop a relationship with a new friends by having a conversation with them.
As His child, you can pray to Him for assistance and guidance. You can tell Him about your difficulties, as well as your happy and bad days.
Matthew 21:22 KJV says; “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive”
At first, praying could seem boring, and you might be unsure of how to spot God’s responses.
But if you continue to practice and make an effort to pray in faith, you may find that prayer is a reliable way to get in touch with God.
Through Prayer, We Are Able To Forgive
We allow ourselves to be forgiven when we pray. There are obviously imperfect people in this world.
Even if you make an effort to be the greatest Christian you can be, mistakes will still happen occasionally. When you mess up, you can pray and beg God to forgive you.
Jesus Christ taught His disciples to forgive one another, the Scripture below states how Jesus instructed his disciples to forgive.
(Matthew 6:14 KJV) says; “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”.
(Matthew 18:22 KJV) says; “Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven”.
Jesus is implying that followers of Him should forgive and continue to forgive without any intention of ceasing just like Him and His father.
The Holy Spirit enters your life through prayer
You invite the Holy Spirit to be with you, to give you peace and guidance while you pray each day.
You can get guidance from the Holy Spirit, who can also help you experience God’s love and fill your heart with feelings of joy and serenity.
The Holy Spirit is essential in the lives of believers, this bible verses below let us know the Holy Spirit is essential in our lives.
(Romans 8:26-27 KJV) says; “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”.
This concentration is on Romans 8:26-27. It says that the Spirit of God helps us in our weakness since we don’t know how to pray as we should, and so the Spirit intercedes for us with wordless groanings.
Prayer Can Help You Find Your Life’s Purpose
When we behave in complete accordance with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are simply following divine direction.
Christians are aware that the Holy Spirit can manifest itself in various ways. He can communicate with us through other means as well, such as dreams, visions, and the still, small voice.
All Christians must submit their whole self to God and trust Him. James 4:7-8 KJV says; “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
First, he advised us to stop pursuing our goals in a blind manner. We ought to bow to God instead. Next, rather than continuing to work with the devil, we should resist him.
When we oppose Satan, as James prophesied, he will flee. James encourages us to get close to God in this verse by urging us to do so.
Prayer Gives Us Wisdom
Wisdom is a virtue that cannot be inherited, but must be gained by intense prayer and experience.
Anyone who is open to trying new things and reflecting on their experiences has the potential to achieve wisdom.
You can become a wiser person by praying and learning as much as you can, analyzing your experiences, and putting your knowledge to the test.
Wisdom, particularly spiritual wisdom, entails not just knowing what is good for you, but also using that information in your daily life.
James 1:5 KJV says; “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”.
According to James 1:5, if you ask for wisdom, God will give it to you liberally and without reservation.
The main important thing we should not forget is that God grants wisdom primarily in four ways: through His Word (The Scripture), through prayer, through the Holy Spirit, and through wise Christians.
Prayer Provides You With The Strength To Resist Temptation
The Bible says that the first step in conquering temptation is to come to Him in repentance and faith.
Recognize that only Jesus the Christ can make you right with God. He died in your place to satisfy God’s fair anger for your sin, and He rose again to prove the debt was paid.
Throughout His temptation in Luke 4:1-13 Read, Jesus kept His integrity by resisting all Satan threw at Him. Because He was tempted in the same way we are, He understands what we are going through.
He is also a wonderful example of how to overcome temptations and tests that life throws at us.
Prayer perform Miracles
A prayer has the potential to improve any situation, even the most difficult, in miraculous ways. Indeed, God may choose to send angels into our life in order to answer our prayers.
Daily prayer can benefit you, your family, and others for whom you pray. It can also bring greater serenity into your life and teach you more about God’s plan for you.
