The Old and New Testaments are the two main divisions of the Christian Bible. The Old Testament consists of books that were written before the birth of Jesus Christ, while the New Testament contains books that were written after his death and resurrection.

Old Testament

- Ezekiel: author of the book of Ezekiel; lived in the 6th century BCE
- Daniel: author of the book of Daniel; lived in the 6th century BCE.

New Testament
The New Testament of the Bible was written over a period of approximately 50-60 years, between the 1st and early 2nd centuries AD.
The writers of the New Testament books and letters include:
- Matthew: Gospel of Matthew (estimated to have been written between AD 70-100)
- Mark: Gospel of Mark (estimated to have been written between AD 65-75)
- Luke: Gospel of Luke, Acts of the Apostles (estimated to have been written between AD 80-90)
- John: Gospel of John, three epistles (1 John, 2 John, 3 John), and the Book of Revelation (estimated to have been written between AD 90-100)
- Paul: 13 epistles attributed to him, including Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon (estimated to have been written between AD 50-65)
- James: Epistle of James (estimated to have been written between AD 50-60)
- Peter: First and Second Epistles of Peter (estimated to have been written between AD 60-68)
- Jude: Epistle of Jude (estimated to have been written between AD 65-80)
